Academic Overview
The Standard
God is the source of all wisdom and He has revealed Himself specifically in the Bible - thus God's Word is the basis of all our studies and should be correlated with all experiences that the child has under the auspices of the school. Christian education seeks to train a child in such a way that they will have a sound, practical working knowledge of the Word of God and be able to evaluate every circumstance of life from a Christian perspective. The home and church, being ordained of God and being charged with the responsibility of training and teaching (Deut. 6:6, Matthew 28:20), should work together with the Christian School in promoting the student's growth.
Meeting the Standard
We seek daily to meet our standard through:
- Godly teachers living before their students a sterling example of the realty of Christ in their own lives (MODELING);
- Chaple services where students are challenged to follow Christ and know HIM more and to be led to make practical decisions concerning their everyday lives (SPIRITUAL);
- A curriculum where the WORD is woven throughout (EDUCATIONAL);
- Activities that strength a young person’s limits and build character (PHYSICAL);
- A safe, drug-free, disciplined, loving environment (SOCIAL);
- Consistent enforcement of Godly preferences of conduct, behavior, and appearance (MOLDING);
- Opportunities to get out of the classroom and into the marketplace in order to share Christ with a sin-cursed world (EVANGELISTIC); and,
- Exposing them to college and career opportunities and encouragement to continue on a track of Christian Education. (LUKE 2:52) “And Jesus grew in favor with God and man.” (MATURING)

Our children leave our program ready for their next milestone, Kindergarten.
Elementary
Our elementary school consists of Kindergarten through 6th grade. We utilize the A-Beka curriculum where every subject is approached from a Christian perspective, and you’ll find Scripture and biblical principals used to emphasize, or illustrate concepts. Spelling, writing, language, science, social studies, math and bible are key subjects. Our students also receive Art, Music, Physical Education and Technology.
Middle
Our middle school, 7th-8th grade, use the A-Beka curriculum. Every subject comes from a Christian World view perspective. Spelling, writing, language, science, social studies, math and bible are key subjects. Our students also receive Art, Music, Physical Education and Technology. We offer a variety of social events which include dances, field trips, community events, and special breakfast for celebrating our 8th graders passing from middle to high school.
9th-12th
Our high school is 9th-12th grade. The students are provided all classes necessary for graduation as well as Virtual School if needed. We offer dual enrollment through College of Central Florida and Oral Roberts University. For our high school students with special needs we offer pre-transitional and transitional classes, which include classes that will prepare them for social, work and life skills.
ESE
Our Exceptional Student Education program is for students who currently or have been issued an IEP (Individualized Education Plan), 504 plan, or diagnosed learning disability from a qualified program. These students are accepted into our school on a case by case basis, once meeting has been conducted with the parents, administration, and ESE Teacher. The students who are accepted into the school that have any needs for academic accommodations are placed with their grade level class, with full inclusion, and monitored by our ESE Teacher and grade level teacher, to ensure the student is receiving the accommodations they need to succeed in the classroom.
Electives
Solid Rock Christian Academy offers Music, Art and Physical Education.
