Frequently Asked Questions
What grade levels do you have available? We currently offer classes for children from 3 years old thru 12th grade.
Are you an accredited school? Yes, we have our accreditation with Church of God Association of Christian Schools.
What religious affiliation is the school? We are affiliated with Church of God, Cleveland, TN.
What extra-curricular activities do you offer? We currently offer seasonal sports (see athletics for more information), yearbook, and a bowling club.
What are your hours of operation? Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm.
What are your student hours? School begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m.
Do you have campus security? Yes, we have an armed guard on campus during our hours of operation as well as automated entry points and security cameras.
What are your admission criteria? Each prospective new student and their parents/guardians must; submit application forms and registration fee (Non-Refundable), complete all necessary forms to request transcripts, grades and health records from their previous school, submit a copy of the child’s birth certificate, a doctor’s Physical Health Form, a Florida Immunization Form, a copy of their most recent report card, their most recent obtainable achievement test scores, and a copy of their social security card. All new students must also complete an interview with the principal, dean and ESE Director if applicable.
How is your tuition plan set up? Tuition plans are divided into ten payments, with the first payment due August 5th. A family may pay the entire tuition in advance and receive a 5% discount, but must be paid on or before August 5th.
What type of tuition assistance do you offer? We work with Step Up for Students, AAA Scholarship Foundation and Nature Coast Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten.
What curriculum does your school follow? We use Abeka Book and Wee Learn curriculum in the classrooms. Both curriculums are Biblically based so that all instruction is built on the foundation of God’s Word.
What is your uniform policy and dress code? All students K-12 must wear uniforms. Uniform shirts, jackets, hoodies, and sweatshirts must have a school logo. When the temperature is below 50 degrees, students may wear non-Solid Rock coats for warmth only when changing classes outside. Coats are not allowed to be worn in class. Bottoms can be pants without holes or Bermuda style shorts (boys may wear cargo style), dark denim, navy or tan khaki. Girls may wear skirts or skorts. Skirts should be worn with leggings or shorts under them. (No holes or designs). No flip-flops, crocs, open toed or platform shoes. See handbook for more details.
Do you have an ESE program? Yes, our Exceptional Student Education program is for students who currently or have been issued an IEP (Individual Education Plan), 504 plan, or diagnosed learning disability from a qualified program. These students are accepted into our school on a case by case basis, once a meeting has been conducted with the parents, administration, and ESE Teacher. The students who are accepted into the school that have any needs for academic accommodations are placed with their grade level, with full inclusion, and monitored by our ESE Teacher and grade level teacher, to ensure the student is receiving the accommodations they need to succeed in the classroom.
